The State of Gaming Today
I am really hating this recent trend when it comes to purchasing new games: exclusive DLC depending upon which store you purchase the game from, players getting special DLC/levels/costumes/shinies for buying it on Day One, paying a premium for map packs, et cetera. It's getting crazy. And it's not isolated to the console market. PC games are suffering from this as well (I'm looking at you, Dragon Age 2).

New Wonder Woman Costume Revealed
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm about a week behind in cool news. Dealing with some personal stuff that's keeping me from going full-geek as of late. Whatever.
Anyway, here is the first look at the new Wonder Woman costume for the upcoming NBC series (the pilot could be released as early as this fall).
I certainly don't hate it, but certain aspects don't make sense to me: the latex is a bit too shiny, the heels - though sexy - don't make for an athletic costume. Well, it looks like the newest pictures taken on set are a bit different. No more heels, less shine, and the boots are now red.
Rumor has it that the second picture is actually the stunt double.
At any rate, Adrienne Palicki looks hot as the new Wonder Woman. I just really hope the new series won't be terrible. By the way, if Palicki doesn't look quite so familiar to you in these shots, check out THESE PICTURES where she looks a lot more like her character from Friday Night Lights.

Sucker Punch Movie Trailer 2
I've posted info and trailer for Sucker Punch before. I don't care. I already love this movie and it isn't even out yet (to be released March 25, 2011). It could be the worst movie in history, and I don't care.
It's like a couple of dudes sat around drinking a few beers and the following conversation took place
DUDE 1: I know... let's make a movie about this hot chick, wearing a school girl outfit, and she carries a katana
DUDE 2: Yeah, yeah. And have her fight a giant samurai robot!
DUDE 3: With a gatling gun!
DUDE 1: Nice! But, there's like other hot chicks, right? And they all wear garters or at least we keep filming them in their underwear.
DUDE 2: Yes! And one of them flies a World War I era biplane while fighting... uh...
DUDE 3: A fire breathing dragon! And throw in some Nazis somewhere.
DUDE 1: I just got an erection thinking about that! Okay, so we wrap it all up in this existential storyline where fantasy and reality meet or are mixed up!
DUDE 2: Dude! That's fucking awesome! Pass me another beer.
DUDE 3: Hot chicks... katanas... giant samurai robots with gatling guns... biplanes... Nazis... fire breathing dragons... garter belts and school girl outfits... I'll be in my bunk.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off Recut Trailer
This is absolutely brilliant. A fake movie trailer for Ferris Bueller's Day Off recut to look like an indie movie.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 Repair Tool and Defib Kills
Love this video. Two players, Dr. Defib and Dr. DrillBit, showing off some of their best kills with the repair tool and defibrillator. I absolutely hate the Recon players in Bad Company 2 and I love seeing them get taken down by repair tool or defib.
Sure, there are some decent players out there that play the recon role properly, but the vast majority sit and camp. There are endless ways for the Recon class to help advance the cause. Having a high K/D ratio doesn't help your team. If you're not in a squad, you're not helping. If you ARE in a squad and you're camping, you're a shitty spawn point and thereby are not helping. If you're not going after M-Com's, you're not helping. If you're on offense, then effing move UP! Your awesome K/D ratio isn't doing squat because the Defense doesn't lose tickets for your kills! It's called Recon class, not sniper class. Ugh. Anyway, enjoy the damned video.

SHAZBOT!
Tribes: Ascend, a sequel to 2001's hit game Tribes 2 (one of the best PC games of all time, IMHO), is due to hit the stores (or downloads) later this year. No, Tribes: Aerial Assault does not count as a sequel since it was really just a port of Tribes 2 for the PS2. Don't know much about Tribes: Vengeance aside from that it was supposedly very meh. Though the trailer doesn't tell you much or show you anything, the thought of an updated take on Tribes 2 gives me shivers in all the good places. Rumor has it that it will be download only via services such as Playstation Network, Xbox Live, and Steam (or some sort of digital download service for the PC). Linkage to the official site HERE.
