A few facts:
- looks like the rumors of the Lizard being the primary villain are true
- Peter can't seem to keep his mask on
- releases July 3, 2012
- looks like it may be more than just "good" - has potential for "awesomeness"

Lucas, I Am Thy Father

Yes, yes, yes... we know the quote isn't accurate to what was really said on-screen in Empire.  If that bugs you but misquoting Sgt. Friday, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Sherlock Holmes, Casablanca, or any of the dozens of other popularly misquoted scenes out there don't bug you, then you need to get out more.  And by "get out more" I mean "eat me."

Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II Unveils Prototype AT Walker

I love alternate history and alternate reality stories.  This picture of an AT-AT inspired Imperial walker looks right out of World War I.

Fan Made Silmarillion Trailer

Personally, I don't think The Simarillion would work as a movie.  As a cable channel miniseries?  Hells yes.  But, this is a pretty damned cool fan made movie trailer made up of scenes from a bunch of other movies and game videos.

And now embedding has been disabled, so HERE IS A DIRECT LINK to the video.

2012 Game Releases by Platform

This list is by no means complete but is a pretty good idea for what's coming and for which platform.

Since the list can be pretty tough to read due to Blogger resizing my "original size" option for some reason, HERE IS SOME LINKAGE to a higher quality image.

Miniatur Wunderland

Yes, I would travel to Hamburg, Germany, just to see this incredible train station/airport/town miniature/diorama.

Started in December, 2000 with a planned completion in 2020, this incredible miniature display consists of:
12,378 square feet (24,757 square feet is anticipated for the completed display)
890 trains
300,000 lights
215,000 trees
200,000 human figurines
Awesome.

Guild Wars 2 Beta

ArenaNet founder and President Mike O'Brien announced yesterday that: (1) their first beta test is now closed, (2) press will be invited to beta test starting February, (3) a public beta test will be underway in March and April, and (4) the game is slated for release "later this year."  I barely have time these days for MMOs but Guild Wars has always one that is a bit easier to fit into my schedule - especially since it doesn't have a monthly subscription, a plan which ArenaNet will continue with the sequel.

NICE!
