Ever try and look up an issue you're having with a PC game only to find someone asking a question in a forum from 2003 and then following it up with something like "got it working!" and never explaining how? Sucks, doesn't it? Enter: the ambitious PC Gaming Wiki. In time, and with lots of luck, this site will become the first place gamers will go to for questions and answers concerning modding, fixing, or just playing any and all PC games, past, present, or future. It's still in its infancy but I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the potential kickassedness this could have.

Assassin's Creed 3 To Be Set During America's Revolutionary War

As these published pics (courtesy of Ubisoft and Game Informer) clearly show, the next full iteration of the Assassin's Creed franchise will be set at least partially during the American Revolutionary War. Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this. Yes, it sounds like fun to hack with a tomahawk in one hand and a muzzle loader in the other but Assassin's Creed's strength lies in the parkour-esque gameplay where the protagonist has an entire city for a playground. There weren't very many cities with buildings of a similar stature to Constantinople or Rome during the late 18th century in America - maybe Boston, Philadelphia, and parts of New York City but even those buildings weren't to the same scale as the gigantic cathedrals and ancient towers that we're used to playing around and on. Will this change up the game play for the next Assassin's Creed? Will the focus now switch mostly to Desmond in the current timeline?

Killzone 3 Multiplayer Is Now Free To Play

PlayStation 3 first person shooter fans get psyched because Killzone 3 Multiplayer is now completely free to play. Downloadable via the PSN Store (or whatever it's being called now) you can download the game and play completely free until you reach the Sergeant I rank. To progress beyond that will cost you just $15. I really hope this is a model that more console games will follow. This is perfect for guys like me who just don't have the time to invest in leveling up our FPS awesomeness to God-like levels but still want to play for a few hours.
