I'm sure the console will sell a billion units in the first five minutes of its release later this year, but the gaming press is having a field day with trashing Microsoft from forcing people who buy used games into paying an extra fee to be able to unlock the game to forcing players to be connected online in order to play a new game for the first time so that the purchase can be verified... ugh. Even Adam Sessler, one of the only people whose opinion I respect and value in the video gaming world, tweeted that any cheers that were heard during the reveal came from the Microsoft staff in one area of the audience and not from the reviewers or press that were there. Eek.
However, to be fair, Sessler wasn't completely negative in his review of the Xbox One reveal:
