NASA's Mars Science Laboratory Mission



At 1:31 AM EDT, August 6, 2012, NASA's Curiosity rover, part of the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission, will land on the Martian surface in a unique and new fashion.  The landing will be broadcast live on New York City's Time Square's giant screen.  Check out this overly dramatic video of how the rover will land on Mars:
